Salina Schmid, 27, from Switzerland and Saqer Bakhit, 30, from Palmyra, met by a serendipitous twist of fortune.

Salina's linguistic skills (fluent in German, French, Italian, English and having good language skills in Spanish) and passion for the enchanting cultural heritage of this region (Masters of History and Art History, University of Geneva) and Saqer's long-term experience as a driver in Syria and neighbouring countries for culturally interested tourists from all over the world made them natural partners.
